Chinatown, San Francisco, CA, USA PDF Print E-mail

In my opinion, the most beautiful China Town in the world is located in San Francisco - at least, I like it much more than such areas in New York, Amsterdam or Berlin.

Getting there: Discover China Town is very easy - you need a leisurely walk on Grant avenue from California street – the place, where are numerous hotels and shops.

What to see: China Town impresses with its purity (I misspoke), numerous sculptures and architectural additions that make the buildings look like a Buddhist pagoda. If you're lucky, you'll see posters calling to celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China PRC or a street musician playing the china violin, erhu, the two-jet.
Besides, I liked the Chinese stores, which on Grant avenue great variety. There you will find umbrellas, durable bags and suitcases, toys and a whole bunch of cheap junk that you always need at home. Besides, in China Town you can always find a good coach for kung fu, but this option is good only if you come to San Francisco at least for several months.

Where to eat: In China Town you can a lot of restaurants and taverns, but in my opinion, the most interesting of them is ”Floating Sushi Boat”, located at the corner of Grant avenue and Sacramento street. Here visitors sit down to a large oval "channel" on which the floating wooden boats, laden with plates of food. The cost of meals is determined by the color plates. After the meal, we need only to show the waiter dish, collected on your table and he immediately bring you a check.
Fed into Floating Sushi Boat is tasty and relatively inexpensive - you're unlikely to leave this restaurant more than $ 30.
