In an early harmonious period in a relationship between us we decided to celebrate our marriage in full French style and to do romantic breaks paris. France is so romantic and Paris Paris of course is the most romantic city in the world. My wife told me Paris is almost synonym with romance. So we decided to do there for Paris honeymoon.

We knew that a best time to visit Paris are the months of March, June or September, and also in Christmas time and January, because of the weather is not a good idea to visit this city in July or August, many places are closed and it can be a little crowded too, neither in February, with it’s not so friendly weather. In summer Paris can reach high temperatures.

We had arrived in Paris in January after our wedding and all looked as good if not better than the brochure. The building's shadows form curious gigants when reflected in the parks floors and the sun was shining beautifully. Sure, a Paris week or more is ideal to really get a sense of the city's but we had only 5 days and only 4 nights there.

We stayed in a small delightful Paris hotel Royal Magda Etoile. Location was perfect, right beside Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees, less than 5 minutes to Etoile Paris metro. Full of Paris shops and Paris restaurants near. At the Paris city centre but in a quiet and safe street. The staff was fantastic. On arrival the crew gave us a present, a cool champagne waiting in the room. They made our reservations for our Paris Eiffel Tower dinner and we had a marvelous table.

 As for Paris food, we ate at various local places around the city, nothing too expensive. The prices were fairly reasonable and you can get an Entree, Plat, and Desert for about 25-35 Euros. We would also recommend a place for Macaroons, at Pierre Hermes Paris restaurant located in the St. Germaine location of Paris. Very tasty and fancy Macaroons. Also we recommend a Paris restaurant Bateaux-Mouches that offer dining on the water. It was great dinner cruise on the River Seine. It was very romantic restaurant paris steal a kiss there. We liked Chez Denise in Halle. It has authentic style and hearty french food.

Sometimes we decided to relax and to spend cozy morning reading good books in Paris café.

Paris metro system is the best way to get around the city. It is very easy to manage once you have a Paris tourist map with the city streets and metro lines.

My wife has always wanted to go to Paris Moulin Rouge. I decided to make a surprise. We decided to go for it, and I have to say that we're really glad that we did.

Of course the  Eiffel Tower, the Arc the Triomphe, white basillika Paris Sacre-Coeur, the Paris Notre Dame Cathedral, Paris Luxembourg Garden and the Paris Louvre are certainly the most important and outstanding spots of the city. However, we not missed the Chateau de Versailles, that sits just 10 miles from the center of Paris. Loved them. It was fantastic day out.

For Paris shopping aficionados, January is definitely a great time to be in the city of light. Ave des Champs-Elysees, Ave George V and Ave Montaigne is the plase to shop Prada, Chanel. Galeries Lafayette presents the most famous name in fashion. This ‘capital of fashion’, located in the heart of Paris next to the Opera is the largest department store in France, there we founded very delightful cookies.

I would recommend Paris to my friends and it was a perfect honeymoon destination, particularly if you like good food.
