There are five areas to head for Madrid shopping: Madrid Chueca, Salamanca, the centro Madrid (near Puerta del Sol), Argüelles & Princes and Cuatro Caminos. In each area you`ll find all for different tastes and budgets. Argüelles & Princesa Madrid is the best shopping in Madrid. The Calle de la Princesa street is one of the best shopping areas in Madrid. The street runs from Plaza España to Plaza de la Moncloa with a large number of businesses and shops, along with many cafés, ideal for a relaxing break after a busy day's shopping on both sides. Here you`ll find department stores, shoe shops, Spanish fashion outlets and accessory stores. Calle Orense street close to Santiago Bernabéu stadium is full of small shops, galleries, many fast food restaurants and cafes. The street lies in the very heart of Madrid's financial and business area. Head to traditional shopping streets such as Goya, Serrano, Gran Via, and Puerta del Sol; while those who prefer more "informal" items and antiques will find them at El Rastro - the most famous flea market in the city . |
